A Class Coaches 2008 Limited is a family owned company. We were awarded the New Zealand Agency for Zhongtong buses in April 2008.
The first Zhongtong buses were imported into New Zealand in 2005 and Zhongtong was the first brand of Chinese buses to be imported into New Zealand, In excess of 150 Zhongtong buses have been imported into New Zealand over the last decade. These models range from tour buses, city buses, school buses and motorhome shells. We have sold Zhongtong buses to a number of New Zealand bus companies, including Christchurch Bus Services (has since been purchased by Go Bus), Invercargill Passenger Transport (this company has also been purchased by Go Bus), Uzabus, Clarks Coachlines, Worldway Travel, Reach Coachlines and a number of other bus operators.
We have a very strong relationship with our manufacturer and since we were awarded the agency, we have worked very hard to design vehicles that are suitable for the New Zealand market. Both from a design perspective and a componentry perspective. This involved the complete redesign of some models of buses. During our agency we have moved towards specifying vehicles with well-known and proven componentry (such as Wabco braking, DANA axles, ZF steering, etc).
We have highly qualified mechanic and also a coach builder to support Zhongtong buses in New Zealand, this includes sending our coach builder to the factory for all bus builds. This ensures that the buses are built to the highest standard and that all the customer’s requests are included in the bus build. Our mechanical staff also mean that the vehicles are supported once they are in operation in New Zealand.
